Alex Swanson, CFP®

Associate Wealth Advisor

Alex Swanson Financial Harvest

Alex serves as an Associate Wealth Advisor, where he uses his unique commercial lending background to help clients successfully build their personal balance sheets. Alex is qualified to serve clients by giving fiduciary investment advice as a licensed Investment Advisor.

Alex joined the Financial Harvest team in the spring of 2022 after previously serving clients in the banking industry as a Commercial Underwriter and Relationship Manager. Banking gave Alex a strong foundation in finance, but his desire to have a more direct impact on the personal lives of others sparked a calling into the financial planning industry. Alex uses his previous experience working with small business owners to help clients design a plan to support their financial security and achieve what is most important to them.

As the son of a Presbyterian minister, the value of personal character was impressed upon Alex from an early age, including the core principles of integrity, loyalty, and stewardship. Daily, he uses these values to deliver uncommon service to clients.

Alex attended Winter Park High School (Florida) and was an integral part of the 2010 and 2011 state champion basketball teams. His work ethic and competitive spirit on the basketball court transitioned to the classroom.

He attended the University of Florida, graduating from the Heavener School of Business in 2015. Alex has always had a passion for business and the variety of ways individuals and families can strategically create, preserve, and use wealth to impact loved ones and communities positively.

Client Philosophy

“When I first meet with a client, I prioritize listening. This allows me to ensure the client is heard so that the solutions are tailored to their needs.

“For me, listening produces understanding, which is the goal when meeting with current and first-time clients. Understanding what someone is experiencing, whether it’s the high of a business sale or the low of a family health concern, allows me to meet people where they are and know how to help best. As a cancer survivor, I have firsthand experience with life’s lows. My experience gave me a newfound appreciation for having necessary support groups.

“At Financial Harvest, we not only celebrate your wins but also aim to provide you with support and encouragement through whatever life brings your way.”

Personal

“My parents grew up in Dallas, Texas, where most of my extended family still resides. I always look forward to our annual trips in the summer to visit! I still enjoy playing basketball but have developed a passion for golf, and I try to play as often as possible. I love being an uncle to my nephews Callum and Tyler and my niece Charlotte.

“I also enjoy traveling, watching movies, boating around the many chains of lakes in Orlando, and Gator Football Gamedays up in Gainesville, Florida. I’m active at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, where my dad currently serves as senior pastor.”
